The Deputy Minister of Agriculture Momchil Nekov awarded innovative companies, distinguished in the innovation competition of AGRA, WINERY AND FOODTECH 2022 held in Plovdiv.

Momchil Nekov presented the awards in the section for machines and technologies in the food industry, where three companies were awarded. A plaque and a diploma were awarded to the product "Finely ground rosehip husk, sweetened with finely ground fruit fructose". The innovation belongs to the Bulgarian company "Balevski and Kirov" OOD. A point for extracting meat from cattle of the company "Blitz" EOOD was awarded with a diploma for an innovative product. The Dimitrovgrad company "Fermata 2016" EOOD was also awarded for a new type of donkey milk candies developed with the help of the "Alpi" factory.

"We have forgotten the taste of Bulgarian products. One of the main goals of the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, experts and the Agricultural Academy is to bring back this true taste of native products," said Nekov.

49 products, scientific developments and technologies of 26 companies and 11 scientific institutes participated in the ten sections of the competition this year.

The award "Scientist of the year in the field of agricultural sciences" was awarded to Associate Professor Dr. Dimitar Yakimov from the Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development - Veliko Tarnovo Branch. He has developed a formulation model for the therapy of coronaviruses by enhancing the nutritional value of the products.

In the category "Machines and equipment for crop production" two companies received a plaque and a diploma for an innovative product: "Pleven Agroconsult" EOOD Bulgaria with the product "Machines and bags for the storage of grain and fodder" and Granit Parts (sub-exhibitor of Potrade) for the product "Proboss seat AS3520 air suspension SEAT AS3520 AIR Suspension3'. Both products are of German production and quality.

In the category "Technology of plant cultivation", a plaque and diploma was awarded to "Fiamma" EOOD for the "Cultivator-chopper SACHO Geacut", manufactured by the Spanish company "TMC Cancella". The Bulgarian company "Predistik" OOD was also awarded with a diploma for the innovative product "GRAS systems for smart agriculture", which is at the world level for precision agricultural solutions.

In the "Machinery and installations for animal husbandry" section, a plaque and a diploma for an innovative product were awarded to "Agritop" EOOD for a vertical lifting system that facilitates farmers.

In the section "Technologies for animal husbandry" the company "Oltec Bulgaria" EOOD was awarded for the product "System for control and management of nutrition".

The Fruit Institute - Plovdiv received a plaque and a diploma in the section "Variety seeds and planting material" for a new Pagane plum variety. The Institute of Vegetable Crops "Maritsa" was awarded with a diploma for an innovative product for cucumber Teresa and the Institute of Maize - Knezha, for corn hybrids Knezha 573, Knezha 575 and Knezha 651.

In the "Fertilizers and preparations for agriculture" section, three companies were awarded for innovations in organic agriculture. The first, "Sumit Agro Romania SRL" - Bulgaria branch, received a plaque and a diploma for a bacterial soil improver named "Amilis", manufactured in France. The innovation for biostimulation of the growth and physiological development of plants Tytanit, produced by the Polish company "Intermag" and presented by ASD EOOD in our country, received a diploma. The specialized commission also awarded "Metamax" biofertilizer for insecticidal action of "Global Agro Solution" OOD.

In the "Scientific activity and developments" section, the president of the Agricultural Academy, Prof. Eng. Martin Banov, presented the awards. The Institute of Soil Science, Agrotechnology and Plant Protection "N. Pushkarov" for an installation for the purification of sunflower oil using an ultrasonic field. The Dobruja Agricultural Institute - General Toshevo was awarded a diploma for the hybrid sunflower "Krasela", as well as the Institute of Rose and Essential Oil Crops - Kazanlak, for the perfume "Tobacco and Roses".

"Farm Solution" EOOD received a plaque with a diploma in the "Livestock Breeding" section for an innovative system for control and management of feeding on the DTM Professional farm. The product is manufactured in Italy by Dinamica Generale S.p.A.

In the section "Machines and technologies for the production of wines and spirits", "Adig" EOOD received a plaque and a diploma for personal programs for targeted viticulture and Enoteris winemaking, produced by the French company Sofralab Martin Valatte.

Scientific research and innovation are an investment in the future, commented the participants of the event.
